SOLE FOREIGN-OWNED COMPANY
A Sole Establishment in Dubai is a legal entity owned and operated by a single individual, known as the sole proprietor. The sole proprietor is 100% in complete control of the company’s operations and profits and bears unlimited liability; and is also 100% fully liable for the company’s debts or losses.
An individual of any Foreign nationality other than UAE or GCC nationality can set up a Sole Establishment, provided they engage a LOCAL SERVICE AGENT (LSA) to help in setting up the company by providing their support with Immigration, Department of Economic Development and Ministry of Labor. They shall hold no financial liabilities or obligations related to the company inside and outside the Emirate.
Under the commercial companies law only the following entities can be 100% foreign owned; without an Emirati shareholdings
Freezone Company
Foreign nationals can set up a Freezone company in any of the 7 Emirates in the form of a limited liability company without a UAE National in the shareholding.
Regional distribution center for an international trading company, whose major business is conducted outside UAE
Professional License
Foreign nationals can set up a LLC to provide professional services in UAE without having an Emirati partner, but must appoint a UAE National as their local service agent.
