There are generally 2 types of legalizations, namely Attestation and Apostille.

Attestation of a document is done by an authorized person, a government department or a foreign office. Generally it’s done by the State department (HRD) or Embassy of a specific country.
Apostille is a type of attestation in which documents are legalized in a particular format that is acceptable in all nations belonging to the Hague Convention (there are about 92 countries party to it). An apostilled document doesn’t need to be attested.

There are basic three types of attestations:

  • State attestation
  • Embassy attestation
  • MEA attestation (also called Apostille)

Generally there are 3 types of documents that need attestation:

  • Educational – marksheets, degree certificates etc
  • Non-educational – birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate, PCC etc
  • Commercial – PoA (Power of Attorney), AoA (Article of Association), MoA, Incorporation certificate etc

We maintain complete transparency in attestation process and ensure satisfaction of client
